According to a recent report from supply chain insiders at ETNews, Apple is set to unveil sophisticated LTPO+ OLED displays with its forthcoming iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max models. These advanced screens are expected to offer improved energy efficiency, which could enhance the overall battery performance of the devices.

In a significant design innovation, the LTPO+ displays will enable Apple to integrate the infrared (IR) scanner used for Face ID beneath the screen. This development could lead to a notable shift in Apple’s supplier relationships. With LTPO+ OLED displays exclusively produced by LG and Samsung, the Chinese manufacturer BOE may be sidelined from supplying screens for the Pro models. However, BOE could still provide displays for the standard versions of the iPhone 18.
